Equality Network warns against the LFR use by Police Scotland

The Equality Network (EN) and Scottish Trans (ST) have sent an open letter to the Scottish Police Authority (SPS) regarding their concerns over the potential introduction of Live Facial Recognition (LFR) technology. The letter, which cautions against adoption, outlines the specific impact of LFR technology on LGBT people, along with broader implications such as the disproportionate impact, inaccuracies, bias and discrimination, and the creation of a watchlist.
