ICO to relocate to Manchester in 2026

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has announced that its head office will relocate from Wilmslow to Manchester in Autumn 2026. The new headquarters will be situated at the Circle Square development on Oxford Road. Jen Green, Executive Director of Strategy and Resources at the ICO, said that while the regulator will maintain a small presence in the Wilmslow area beyond next year, the relocation to Manchester will support efforts to attract talent and strengthen its engagement with universities and other organisations involved in data and digital fields.
