UN announces new cybersecurity assessment framework

The United Nations (UN) has introduced a new cyberattack assessment framework called the UNIDIR Intrusion Path. Developed by the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDR), this new framework builds upon and complements existing models like the MITRE ATT&CK framework. Designed to analyse both malicious and security activities within the information and communication technology (ICT) environment, the framework aims to improve understanding of malicious IT activities for UN member states and non-technical stakeholders, who may find the language used by the technical community complex.
