DWP Fraud Bill progresses to the House of Lords

The UK government has confirmed that the Public Authorities (Fraud, Error & Recovery) Bill, which will give the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) new powers to withdraw funds directly from bank accounts to combat benefit fraud, has passed its Third Reading in the House of Commons (HC) and will now progress to the House of Lords (HL).
According to the Parliamentary stage tracker, the First Reading of the Bill in the HL was held on 30 April and will return for its Second Reading on 15 May.
